The Ironman competition passes right through the town of Wilmington and Lake Placid and you are just 12 miles from Whiteface!

ADK Cabin sleeps 10 guests. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The home comfortably sleeps ten guests in 4 bedrooms (5 beds).

As you step into our home, you'll find hooks for your coats, a spacious bench for taking off your shoes, and boot trays to keep your footwear organized. A full-size washer and dryer are available for your convenience.

From the entryway, you will pass into the spacious, light-filled kitchen featuring a stainless refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and gas stove. The natural pine ceiling creates a warm and inviting atmosphere and black wood cabinetry complements the modern farmhouse decor.

Gather around the spacious dining table and enjoy meals with family and friends. And when you're not cooking, take in beautiful views of the surrounding woods through the large thermal pane French door that leads out to the large deck. You'll delight in the peaceful setting and natural beauty that surrounds you.

The kitchen opens into a stylish living room featuring stunning wood accents, vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace with wood mantle, and comfortable leather furniture. The sofa, loveseat, and chair are perfect for snuggling up in front of the fire, and the large window seat is ideal for relaxing and unwinding after a day of adventure.

The Smart TV enables you to stream your favorite programs. Take in the beautiful natural light from the vaulted ceiling with skylights as you relax in this warm and inviting space with pine ceilings, floors, and bead board. The French door leading to the expansive deck allows you to enjoy the outdoors while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Just off the spacious living room, you'll find a small hallway that leads to a linen closet, a stairway to the lower level, the first bedroom, and a conveniently located full bathroom. This main floor bedroom is conveniently located for those who may have difficulty climbing stairs, making it a great option for families traveling with elderly parents or anyone with limited mobility.

Bedroom #1 on the main level is a lovely retreat! As you step into the room, you'll take in nature from the thermal pane French door leading to your own private, covered balcony. The fresh air and peaceful scenery make for a perfect start to your day. Be sure to enjoy your morning coffee from the in-room coffee station! The room is furnished with a solid wood log-style queen bed adorned with a tasteful quilt and pillows for a restful night’s sleep. The large closet can be used to store your belongings.

The main floor bathroom has a large jetted tub, perfect for relaxing and soaking sore muscles. There is also a stall shower, sink with storage space, and hairdryer for your convenience. The window adds natural light and a touch of the outdoors. The pine ceiling, shiplap-style wood paneling, soft, stylish lighting and mirror give the room an elegant, warm and inviting feel.

Just off the spacious living room is a staircase leading to the 2nd floor with two additional bedrooms and another full bathroom. Bedroom #2 is stylish and comfortable with its knotty pine shiplap-style walls and furnishings. A dresser and large closet provide ample storage for clothes and personal belongings, while the comfortable Queen bed is perfect for a restful night's sleep. The side table and lamp offer a convenient spot for reading and add to the room's overall ambiance. French doors lead to the private, covered balcony and offer beautiful views and a peaceful spot to sip a morning cup of coffee (an in-room coffee station is provided!).

Bedroom #3, also located on the 2nd floor, features a King bed adorned with a cozy quilt and pillows to ensure a restful night's sleep. You'll appreciate the two closets for your belongings and will enjoy this room's warm, inviting atmosphere.  A desk and chair for remote working are conveniently located in this room. 

The full bathroom on the 2nd floor is designed with pine shiplap-style paneling that adds a warm and inviting touch to the space that features a tub/shower combination plus a vanity with storage space and hair dryer. The skylight allows natural light to flood the room. Guests can relax in a hot shower or enjoy a soothing bath while taking in the serene ambiance of the space.

Bedroom #4 and the recreation room are located on the lower level, accessible from the stairs just off the living room.

The bedroom is thoughtfully designed with two Queen beds, closet and dresser for storing your clothes and personal belongings.

The rec room, adjacent to the fourth bedroom, is an additional hang-out area and great space for families. The room has a foosball table and large Smart TV.

A pack-n-play is provided for your convenience and a high chair is available upon request. All linens are included. The main floor and 2nd-floor bedrooms and living room have air conditioning units.

Wireless internet and a landline for local phone calls (USA only) are conveniently provided. Long-distance calls are not included. You may use WIFI apps for long-distance or video calls.

The following items are minimally supplied (enough to get you started): toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, and bath soap. Linens are provided, including bedsheets, quilts, pillows, washcloths, and bath towels, to use during your stay. We supply salt and pepper but do not supply other kitchen spices, condiments, hand towels, beach towels, shampoo, or charcoal.

Out back, luxuriate in the hot tub where you can unwind and soak sore muscles while immersed in the beauty of the surrounding woods. The property also has a fire pit and seating to enjoy roasting marshmallows or sharing stories under the stars.

Our home is ideally situated just 13 miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort, a half-hour drive from Lake Placid, steps from Lake Eaton, and 10 miles of hiking trails varying from relaxed beginner trails (including a trail that surrounds the lake) to harder climbs. Lake Eaton is within the Ausable Acres community and has boat access (kayaks and canoes) and fishing. Be sure to bring your gear for Pickle Ball, Bocce Ball, Tennis, Basketball, and Volleyball. The grounds have a pavilion with picnic tables and grills, a ball field, and a playground for kids. Trails can be used for hiking, mountain biking, or cross-country skiing.

The home is close to Lake Everest in Wilmington, which has a beach for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking. In winter, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice skating. There is also a picnic area, pavilion, and playground! For easy scenic hikes in Wilmington, be sure to visit the beautiful Flume and Hardy Rd trails.

Whiteface Mountain has the greatest vertical drop east of the Rockies and boasts over 283 acres of skiable terrain, 86 trails, and 11 lifts. It features diverse terrain for beginner skiers and snowboarders, expert glades and slides for the advanced, and loads of trails for everyone in between! The longest run is the 2.1-mile 'Wilmington Trail,' and total skiing/boarding stretches over 22 miles. Whiteface Mountain is truly fun for everyone! In summer, Whiteface offers splendid views, gondola rides, mountain biking, and more.

Lake Placid is a charming, all-season resort town with a Main Street, unique, locally-owned shops, loads of dining options, sporting and cultural events, a movie theatre, mini-golf, and a waterfront park with live music featured weekly during summer. The town also has supermarkets and other conveniences.
